pain in breast

I noticed a pain in my right breast a couple of days ago which was pretty bad, still there and I pressed all over and found something- a lump or bone? Like most women the C word came into my head. It wouldn’t go soo I thought I’m definitely going to have to see my doctor. This morning saw her she said yes there is something there but it’s a lump.. and checked n checked. Them said I’m going to refer you to Chorley hospital breast clinic 🙈. I’m not thinking all sorts and desperate for the hospital to call. Has anybody else had such a problem and waited for a call from a breast clinic and all the rest…

Hi Junny123, I know hearing news like this would make you anxious but until you have your results I would try to think positive, it could just be a cyst which many lumps in the breast are and in other areas too, My mother had a condition called mastitis, which gave her pain in her breast which was really bad, she also had a small lump but that was due to the mastitis. If you can look it up on a website to find out more information. Is there a history of breast cancer in your family? Let me know how you get on with your results, take care.

thanks for your reply Imagine1. Yes it is making me feel anxious. My mum passed away with breast cancer. Just today I got a call from the hospital and made an appointment for next Tuesday. The next several days will drag now. I need to think more positively but alittle hard to do so at times.
