My consultant today told me I’m very anaemic and was surprised my gp hasn’t put me on medicine for it. I have methotrexate tablets during the week and because of that I have to take folic acid- iron tablets. So I don’t know really know what exactly the consultant it’s going to do writing to my gp. I have lots of symptoms.. tiredness etc. but one is really bothering me and that’s the breathing one.. can’t take full breaths comfortably alot of the time. Anybody understand? Sorry the post is so long and might not sense 🙈

Do you suffer PsA skin, joints etc ? as that is one of the reasons to clear this problem. Are they trying to fight problems like use in Cancer.

I was one BIOLOGICS for many years for PsA and became very ill, Are they XRaying anyjoints etc, or are you seeing a Rumatologists : Who is prescribing these medications

Methotrexate is toxic to the bone marrow which certainly could be the cause of your anemia. The difficulty breathing could result from this or toxicity to the lungs. I see you have several conditions that Methotrexate could be useful for. You should talk with your consultant about possible alternative treatments. Of course other conditions could cause these problems and should be ruled out. Best, etheral

the Consultant told me from the beginning that I’d have to take these because of my weekly methotrexate jabs so have no alternative 😞

I was suggesting that an alternative to Methotrexate be condidered if possible because the drug can cause serious untreatable side effects.

I feel for you Junny123 I have recently tested for Anemia as well and unfortunately thats part of Psoriatic Arthritis from what I have read .. I take Iron tablet every other day and will need to retest in 3 to 6 months according to my doctor.
