Does anybody know what drug would help to ease resless leg syndrome? Please help, if you can. I am on ropinirole 1mg tablets - they don't even touch it.

A buildup of lactic acid from a deficiency of thiamine is associated with RLS. Benfotiamine is a form of thiamine with high absorption. Other thiamine forms will also provide lactic acid clearing. Magnesium is needed to supply enzymes to activate thiamine. Research this information for more detail. Always consult your health care professional before using any supplement.

RLS may turn out to getting your attention to the B vitamins especially thiamine for many other health issues especially in the brain and digestive system.

Forgottenpatient, I need to mention thiamine is a subject to anti thiamine factors that may affect your levels. Here is a link from the stuttering blog containing groups of them:

I am/was a complementary therapist, and I don't reach for pills unless no other option (too many negative side effects): Bowen Therapy and NST can work wonders with restless legs in my experience. Also Magnesium (ie. Citrate/Threonate) can help.

I have RLS and have been prescribed quinine and it has worked a treat. I used to dread going to bed and when it started in my arms I was absolutely exhausted. Hope you resolve this soon.

I have restless leg syndrome. This generally comes on after 3 to 4 hours in bed. The lower legs ache and have a job to keep still. It's annoying and I have to get up. I find if I walk about for a short time, go down stairs ,stretch my legs, it helps. Just for 5 to 10 minutes. I take no pain relief.

As previous posters have said, research your supplements and take regularly for the longer term benefits. However if quick relief from symptoms is still sought after then I would definitely recommend you experiment with CBD oil. From personal experience Blessed, Hapi Hemp and Ethica cbd are all excellent and reputable manufacturers. Plenty of info to read on the subjects of strengths of oil to buy, appropriate dosing and lots of other stuff on their websites.

Wishing you better health.
