I have been sent for MRI due to weakness in my right hand. Pain up my arm under my arm pit and around my right shoulder

Just wondered if anyone else is suffering with this.

I suffer with scoliosis which gives me a lot of pain which I take tramadol for.

I developed chronic pain and weakness in my right arm and hand. MRI showed nerve compression at C5-C6. Surgery resulted in incrrasrd strength but increased pain. After 20 years and multiple pain regimines, lyrica, narcotics, valium etc, I at the point where I now take only the occasional valium and the pain is in the background. Narcotics were a useless dead end because of developing tolerance, and the lyricsa while effective, had intolerable side effects. Best of luck with resolution of this difficult problem..etheral

Yes I've had that. I have the same back issue and more. It sounds like nerve compression but I'm not doctor but have had the same problem. I take gabapentin for it. Dr. might send you to a neurologist. I also have a good chiropractor that I go to when needed.

Do you find Tramadol helps with the pain

Yes it help a lot. Some people say they get side effects but it kind of numbs it so it’s there but not half as bad. Hope that makes sense.
