Hi,What have you tried so far ?

I have suffered with migraines for years,Have tried all over the counter products.

Been under a neurologist for about 6 years now,

Tried a few different tablets.

PIZOTIFEN

MAXALT MELT.

not much difference,

Then they tried 31 BOTOX injections around the brain, neck and shoulders.

Had that twice in six months,

And as it didn't make any difference, they didn't bother with the third and last dose.

Then they gave me an injection in the back of my head, but for the life of me ,I can't remember what it was called.

Again it hasn't worked.

So now waiting another 3 months to see what next.

So get your doctor to recommend you see a neurologist.

What didn't work for one person ,may work for you.

Your not alone with this,

Hope this helps you some how.

Good luck.

Sometimes really good deep tissue massage of head, neck and shoulders helps. I suffered a lot with migraines and took more and more meds for it. Then I read that the body expects more all the time so to speak for it to have an effect. So I stopped taking so many and reduced them instead, it took a while but it gradually got better. Went to an acupuncturist which helped somewhat and got DTM on a regular basis which helped too. I suffer with spinal issues and referred pain. I again took the maximum allowed amount of pain meds for the referred pain and thinking on the same lines of the body wanting more all the time am in the process of reducing the amount. It’s hard going I know as your body screams for more. It’s murder I know but pumping your body full with meds is bad too. Devil of a choice.

I suffered with debilitating migraines for years. Any drugs you use will only work for so long. As Emma2017 mentions deep tissue massage can help releive pain - I found the right side of my neck and shoulder locked tight intensifiying the pain so it was good for that. But at the end of the day you need to find what the trigger is. I am happy to say that after years of suffering - touch wood I am migraine free. My trigger was actually a combination of things coming together - stress (ran my own business), tiredness, low blood sugar and red wine. Those together were the perfect storm for me. Keep a diary, your triggers will emerge and it may help you to make some changes that could make the difference. Good luck, I feel for you. Take care.
