Yes one of the common side effects is drowsiness

Be aware of any other side effects And to keep your doctor informed.

I developed side effects and they changed me to a related drug so you have options

Drowsiness comes with most of the related drugs In my opinion

My son is on amitriptyline and it affected him for two weeks before he settled into it. How early in the evening are you taking it? could you take it an hour earlier and see if that helps?

But as others say, not everyone does as well on drugs as others, so if you are not happy with it talk to the doctor and try something else.

Not what you're looking for?
