I was at the pain clinic on Monday and got the chilli patch treatment for the second time. Has anyone had it also, and has anyother ideas to help keep the area cool?

Chilli patches
Hi
Sorry, I've never had it before. Us it helping you ?
Take care Lynne
I might not see the full benefits for a couple weeks, it's currently feeling like extreme sunburn on the sole of my feet 😭
Ouch!! I really hope it works for you. Take care Lynne
I think menthol gel or aloe vera might be soothing.
I’ve used Capsicum cream on and off and have had good results for knee pain, stiffness. I must admit the sunburn effect which was worse during night and when having a bath took some getting used to but I persevered. I’m going to try 1965Katy tip of Menthol or Aloe Vera next time to see if it alleviates bring, It took about a week using the chillie cream three times a day before I noticed a difference and continued using for a month and the results were remarkable. It is advised not to use continually when pain decreases. I’ve not heard of chilli patches but maybe that’s a better way (need to be extremely careful applying cream, I use disposable gloves as it is made from chillies!) of getting same results. Hope they work for you,
I have used and still use this too. More for an unbearable itch on the bridge of my nose. It helps fantastically but have to be very careful. Don’t want to use it for pain as the area is too large but no doubt it would help on smaller areas. Once it burns nothing much helps but milk.
Never heard of this. What does it help?
Hi I had the chilli cream many years ago, it did work but they stopped prescribing it for some reason. Good luck with the patch
Hi kimmi88,
Is this the Qurenza patches you’re referring to? I had these patches twice about 2 years ago on one of my legs. Never again!! They should be outlawed by the UN as a form of torture!!
The burning was so unbearable I went into shock. I had to keep my leg under cold running water for 6 hours after to ease the pain.
I’ve read that in the US they often administer nerve blocks before applying the patches but all I got was a mild local anaesthetic gel.
