Hi, I had medial branch ablation(nerves burned) on Friday.. would that be adding to my hot sweats!!! They injected steroid first then burned the nerves... just wondering as this is driving me daft!
Hot sweats: Hi, I had medial branch ablation... - Pain Concern
Hot sweats
Hi deb I also had the same procedure done on Friday also.im male but I’ve ad no night sweats just pain pain and more pain. Are u aware deb that ur nerve ending grow back.
Chance
My pain is under control, and I just ache but manageable! Yeah I know they grow back.. I’m lucky that I had steroids in last year and it worked and lasted nearly 12 months. Advised this may last 2 years.. I’m so sorry though you’re having so much pain and they did tell me that I may have more pain for the first week til it’s settles ..
Hi Deb, I haven't had nerve ablation but every time I've had steroid injections I get really bad sweats, I've been told it affects your hormones fir a few days. Hope it works for you
Thanks Fran. I tend to get them anyway.. but since I’ve had these injections OMG 😲... like I’m in the menopause again!!!
They told me it can make menopause symptoms or periods worse for a short time. Menopausal anyway, I think I was getting hot flushes every 10 mins or so when I had steroid injections in my cervical spine, it did subside after a few days
I have had 2 nerve denervations done and both times I had hot flushes for about 7 to 10 days and a very red face as well. The SI denervation has left me with a numb patch too but it was worth it. It does settle down though.
