I would imagine you have to qualify for any benefits as in the UK.

Your best solution would be to ask google all your questions. I have looked and plenty of info there.

You have to understand that the US does not have a universal socialist base for their benefits. You have to have worked and paid into an insurance scheme to get unemployment benefits, and you have to qualify by not choosing to be unemployed, that is you have to have been made redundant or similar.

There is also no universal healthcare. You would have to take out private health insurance or pay for all healthcare yourself.

You would also have to be a lawful citizen or have permission to live and work in the US.

This is why the inequality gap and the health gap is so much bigger in America than it is in the UK.

This is the second question you ask on the same topic, but you’ve posted it here on the fibromyalgia forum and on the lung charity page.

Sorry but someone trying to claim benefits from both countries is a joke.

The US will leave you without healthcare without a roof over your head and with nothing if you haven’t paid in the system; unlike our system which is generous too some !
