Hi Amanda, I take Gabapentin along with Tramadol and Paracetamol for pain. I've just started on Morphine patches, so have been able to reduce the Tramadol by half. Now we're looking to increase the Morphine and get rid of the Tramadol all together. Then see if I can cut out the Gabapentin. Balancing the drugs is not easy, but it depends on what type of pain you have. I was put first on Co-Codamol first then Tramadol. Adding Gabapentin came later. Don't know what path you're taking, but don't give up, there are many options. D
People who are on gabipentin have trouble with it and Some are having problems with it. Some have tried to go cold turkey and it cause a lot of trouble going cold turkey. It's dangerous to stop all at once. You need to go off slowly. Hopefully this Dr has something different to help your a strong person so keep fighting Don,,t give up there's got to be something that will help with out feeling like a zombie. I know your you want to give up but please Don,t. You have family there going to feel like they can,t help. Let them help and there going to feel guilty they Don,t want you to give up so Don,t let them know that there that they can help.I,m here if you need to talk anytime. Good luck at Dr I will be waiting to here what Dr had to say. Fight Don,t give up susiejo1948
