My name is MarRae Boyer almost 4 most out knee replacement. I have the issue of pain still. More so at night. I work 40 hours a week sit down job. I walk around every hour or it is very stiff. Still taking pain med's trying to cut back. Only two per day sleeping at night is the worse. Can't get comfortable then very tired the next day. So frustrating my Dr. says that this is normal. Maybe at the six months mark the pain level will be gone ???? hoping and praying getting so worn out. I had the right one done 3 years ago. Scar tissue set in had to have it both of the knees manipulated. I sometimes wonder if it was even worth it? The pain level is bad sometimes I just cry. I do ice sometimes maybe I should be doing this more? Who knows?

Did you see your surgeon for a follow-up visit? What did the surgeon think - can you persuade your GP to refer you back if you feel there's something amiss?

In the meantime - yes, heat/ice, TENS, NSAID gel, movement, whatever works for you. What does the physiotherapist think?
