Letter: Hi I've got a letter of local service... - Pain Concern
Letter
OK. Do you want to saya bit more? Not sure how we can help.
x
What complaints is it for.. I'm a little confused on this msg or hiw can help sorry
Are you better?
Is it to do with change in circumstances ie..you've got better or worse I think you might be best ringing them sooner rather than later to enquire and put your mind at ease or at least check they are correct in what they are saying as the benefits system makes mistakes too but don't let it worry u n make halealth worse..good luck
Ok this is really confusing!!?? What exactly are or why would you have any cause for concern?? Over them reviewing your disability? Unless you are actually better and are scamming the system? Hey I'm just saying I have had this happen 3 times and not once was I worried? So what exactly are you worried about? Because if your not better? Then you should not be so freaked out about it? Hey I'm just saying! If not! You better find yourself some kind of other employment?? LIKE A JOB!??? And then you say your a bit worried? And then in another comment you say! Your not worried? And by the way didn't you know every few years or yearly they make you redue it! But if they said in the letter that it was a local complaint or a complaint? Then it's very obvious that someone saw you doing something you said you couldn't do????
Hi Cooper. I agree about giving them a ring. These letters can be quite confusing and worrying especially with all the publicity around benefits being stopped. Obviously you can't do anything today but Monday morning first thing just so you have a better idea.
Maybe telling us a bit more about what the letter says might give people information on which to base their comments instead of guessing.

It's probably a review that is done at set intervals. But yiu won't know for certain until you phone up and ask. Do you have to phone to make an appointment ?
It does look as if no one here can advise you so enjoy your Sunday and get in touch on Monday.

I suspect it is a local service compliance interview. I had one recently and it was a phone call to check I had declared my husbands pension when I first started claiming.I had paperwork to prove when I told DWP so they accepted my word and nothing else happened. If you ring the person named on the letter they will tell you more or at least mine did as I had to check the time of the call as I am not up at the time they might have called.
Try not to worry as it's a random process who they choose for these calls ☺☺
Well do you work? If not it has something to do with a type of payment for you being disabled at the currant time? And you said local service complaints so obviously someone saw you doing something you shouldn't and now there investigating it ! Otherwise why would they say service complaints? And not just say they just need you to redue your paperwork ??
I don't work nd im not disabled nd I have done anything wrong
If you are on DLA, you must be disabled. OR YOU WOULD NOT BE ENTITLED TO IT.
I get dla for my son but he's just started a paper round do u think it could be for that
So your son of 15 has a disability, and you get DLA for him. These newspapers are heavy. How does he manage ? Or is it not a physical disability ?
On yes definitely if he can do a paper route then he can do a normal job too!! Think about that? Doing a paper route is not as easy as you think !!!
Ok if he can remember all those addresses then he can work a cashier or stock shelves or stack shingles or a lot of things! It's hard to remember all those addresses!!!!
He is 15 years of age. This paper round job may help him. Could be a fairly easy route, will give him some confidence. We don't know his situation. Well done to him for getting the job and moving forward.
Well I'm sorry but that's not how the government works. They are cruel and figure that's good enough to take him off. I am in a wheelchair! Trust me! I even had problems like this. . But good luck
SherishDLA is awarded whether you work or not.I think you are getting muddled with benefits.
I know what it is it's a Disabilityliving allowance it's a social security benefit awarded to people in the united kindom. It's payed to eligable claimants. Who have personalare / or mobility needs as a result of a physical or mental disabilit!!And if his son is on it for mental not physical they will still say he can get a proper job ! If he can remember all the houses he has to deliver too! Stocking shelves or anything dishwasher!! It's not me it's them!! Seriousl they really think that way trust me! The paper route that is good for your son is only putting your payments in jeopard! You still have to have a major physical or mental disabilityto get those payments and in there eyes he is capable of getting a real job !! There excuse my language(ASSHOLES!!
He is 15 and as far as the law of the land goes he must still be at school.
Good so you know what DLA was? It is now actually changed toPIP. The rules are the same you can claim it whether you work or not. Regardless of what your disability is.
And please don't speak to me as if I am an idiot. Totally unnecessary.
We are here to help and support members whether they are new or oldies. Add something constructive NOT destructive
Oh yes it is also paid to people overseas too if they qualify. I do
The D in DLA stands for Disability NOT Disabled.
I hope we are not muddling cooper who came on here for help and seems to be getting accused of all sorts without us knowing the specific circumstances.
Cooper you seem confused by these letters and more so by some of these replies. It's Monday now. Possibly you might get a better idea of what's what by phoning. Is there a number on the letter you can ring ?
Is there someone you can take with you to the interview who would help you understand and remember what is being said ?
