My brother, sister and I have been Dx with this. My brothers nerve had to be cut in one ear, nothing else they could do. Depends on the severity .I,ve gotten used to the ringing, but the dizziness is another thing. One day at a time. God Bless.

Hi, my husband has suffered meneres for many years. It got so bad that he was having what he calls spinners lasting 6 hours or so and he couldn't move from the bed or chair. The doctor was regularly called out to give him a anti sickness injection. A few years ago he saw a private consultant who admitted him to hospital to have Gentamicin dripped into his ear slowly over a few hours which killed the balance mechanism in the ear. It's worked great and he only gets a quick spin lasting a couple of seconds occasionally. However he is now very deaf in that ear and still has tinnitus in both ears.
