morning all ,has everyone had gall bladder out because of stones and how long do you have to wait for appointment

lucky you , my GP has referred back to hispitol

so just waiting for a appointment, the pain is bad so going for GP appointment next week

I had mine done many years ago with open surgery, and waited eight weeks. These days it is usually done without open surgery, but on average you can wait 18 weeks for assessment for surgery and then it depends on what type of surgery you have as to how soon the OP is done. Only other option is for your gp to speed it up if you are in a lot of repeated pain attacks. You will normally have to go on a fat free diet prior to surgery and if overweight need to loose weight if possible, you may already have done all this of course.You could also look on line for hospital with shortest waiting list to speed things up. Hope this info helps.

thanks for reply ,my GP as me on a fat free diet already , i have a ultra sound scan and thats were it showed up ,my GP i have serval but never a final number , so i stress depression and O C D . he said we write to a surgeon and send a copy of my scan.
