I have had this before but I forgot what I took. Its been over a week and is still there. The broken blood vessel in my eye is suppose to take 1 to 3 weeks. It looks terrible. I know it will go away. No pain

Ring your optician or GP.

You need to have your blood pressure checked. The burst vessel may be an indication of high blood pressure.

There are no pain receptors in the eye I understand and As you say the blood should clear up given time

You should talk to your GP regarding this so you can put your mind at rest that no damage has been caused to the structure of the eye

Good Luck

I have had this and it was because I scratch my eye in my sleep. The Doctor told me that it will heal by itself but it will take 1 to 3 weeks. It was gone in 2 weeks. You can use mild rewetting drops in the eye care section. God bless you
