this may be plantar fasciitis. Look on Patient.co.uk for information. good luck,

Regards Sheila

Hello

PLANTAR FASCIA is the condition that effects the heel NHS CHOICES.

Use NSID medications with Paracetamol type medications for pain.

Discuss all with your GP

Good luck

None of us here are qualified to give you a diagnosis, so you are going to have to go to a doctor to find out what it is. Once you know what it is, try posting again with the diagnosis and asking if anyone else has the same condition, and how they deal with it.

I recently tore my right achilles tendon and didn't realise for about 3 weeks because of plantar fasciitis in the same foot. When I finally took off the cast I developed pains in the outsides of both my feet due to walking incorrectly. Now I have constant numbness in both legs up to my knees and a burning sensation in my shins as well as pins and needles, in my feet and also very sharp electiric shock type pains whenever I aggrivate my foot. GP diagnosed Sciatic nerve irritation and there was nothing more that I could do about it.

support in trainers eased sharp electric shock pains but not rest of symptoms. So far numbness just about 6cm above ankle.
