I'm halfway through a loading dose of B12 injections. Feeling nauseous, got a bad tummy. Anyone else have these side effects?

Nurse told me nausea wasn't a side effect.

I have had those injections for 3 years now I havnt had those reactions but everybody different im able to do my own now so dont have the nervousness i used to have.

Have they started u on 2 a week for 2 weeks ect maybe thats why just a guess though.Hope you start feeling better soon .

Hello...

I was diagnosed with p anaemia about 20years ago

and have a B12 injection every 4 weeks. This had never made me feel sick.

How about having a meal before you visit your nurse so you are not going with an empty tummy? Best wishes. Ana

Hi,

I started loading doses of B12 Injs last Dec. and YES the first month I suffered naseau and weakness (almost passing out at Sainsbury's), but this was limited to the first couple of hours after an injection, so I started going straight home after the inj. and resting for an hour b4 resuming "normal duties". The nausea went away when I moved to monthly injections.

BUT persevere, 8 months on I definetly have more energy and less nervousness than b4.

NB. I am also self supplementing with Spatone (Iron) as I was deficient in both B12 (165) and Ferretin/Iron(8). Good Luck. K.
