Sandra started her 5th line treatment yesterday with Gemcitibine/Carboplatin. We spoke to the Professor prior to starting (usual ritual of signing consent form) and the good news when asked what would be next if this treatment fails to provide a decent period of remission was that although there were nothing new to administer, he would put Sandra back onto the Rotterdam regimen since 3 years have lapsed since she had it before. This is encouraging since the last onc scared us last time by saying he was running out of options. Anyway lets hope this one gives us the break we need after 4 years of exhausting treatments.

Hello
This is very very good news. It's good that you have options now. Hopefully your wife will have a long period of remission after 5th line of treatment has finished. Best of luck

Thank you everyone for your kind support and best wishes, we had some encouraging news today that the CA125 had only increased by 5 points in the last 2 weeks whilst waiting for chemo to start. We now stand at 88 at the start of treatment. Love to all of you xx
Good news about the Ca 125 and it is always reassuring to know that there is another option. I do hope that the next few weeks go as well as they can and that you have a remission free Spring and Summer.

I've almost finished 5th line carbo gem and CA down from 1800 in the summer to 55. Minimal side effects so and optimistic will get some remission time before it all starts again. I'm sure all will go well for you and good luck. Meryl xxx
Good luck with the next sessions, I haven't finished my first yet so I take my hat off to you and wish you both all the luck in the world for a long remission.
Lots of hugs Amamda
