I went for pap smear it didn't come back normal. So I had my cervic removed it still didn't remove all the cells. So I had to have a complete hystereoctomy the doctors said they got all the cells. I am worried that it may come back. What do you think?

Hi... I take it from your post that you have been diagnosed with cervical cancer not ovarian cancer) (a smear isn't a screening test for ovarian cancer) so I am not sure whether it is likely to return or not, it is good news that the doctors have got all the cells, compared to ovarian cancer cervical cancer has a good success rate, so try not to worry (easier said than done) I think you have every chance of being cancer free. If you read some of the posts on here it might concern you more because ovarian cancer does have a higher rate of recurrence.

Come to think of it I did have my cervex remove and they found more cancer cells so I had to have the full hystereoctomy. But you see I was only 30 when this all happened and I never really understood how the cancer does people.

I agree with Gwyn here. I'm not sure you should worry too much about a recurrence. I think it would be a good idea to book an appointment with your GP who can look up your notes and hopefully will take a bit of time to explain everything to you in more detail. The other course would be to go back to the hospital and ask if you can speak to the Macmillan Nurse or the Oncology Nurse and see if they'd go through it all again.

It does seem things might be bright for you. I really hope so.
