I know. And cheap costs too !

Hi

Thanks for posting this. A small study on bc patients has shown that there are differences in response to Metformin according to insulin resistance. Some people improve, some actually have the reverse effect:-

The cat is adorable!

Got to get behind all promising research directions. No drug perfect for all but looks promising enough that large scale trials have to follow, one hopes, so good to know.

Adding cats cannot help but improve all blog posts in future ;)

Dear Osborne

Thanks for posting this. It was the first thing I looked at this morning and cheered me up no end to think that there are research papers coming out that will eventually make a difference. Problem is from what I understand is that they're looking for a cure-all solution and in the past regimes that have helped some and not others have been cast aside. I think we've got to recognise this disease is several diseases and they need to start finding out how to identify how each of us is likely to react to the different options.

I for one would be happy to have a go at a trial for this new piece of research. Let's hope Saachi sees it and can use it to pass his innovation bill.

xxxx Cheers and love xx Annie

Yes it is important to get behind all promising research directions. I lifted the link from another support group because a lady there had asked her onc. to presribe metformin for her, which he did. She then found that her CA 125, which had been creeping up, started to rise sharply. She posted this link on that basis. Hopefully they understand the mechanism which makes it work for some and not others and it can therefore be prescribed for the right people.

Funny thing is that I don't know how my cat Max gets on my posts. He's gorgeous though. X
