i was diagnosed with Grade 3, i have just finished my second cycle of chemo, (my cancer came back 6 months afta my first round of chemo)

this was not good..coming back so soon.I also have the braca gene.. is anyone in the same situation as me... i dont know what my chances of surving are now

Sorry to hear that you have had such a rough ride with your OC. I am sure you are feeling anxious and frustrated right now. I cannot give an answer to your question. Even if someone has had the same diagnosis and treatment, they may have different results. Each case of OC seems to be different. However, I know from lots of postings on this site that there are women around who are still living good lives, many years after being diagnosed with stage 3 and having two cycles of chemo. You may well hear from some of them! The important thing now is for you to look after yourself well, give yourself every chance to get into a better star of health after the chemo. There are lots of older postings on healthy eating, relaxing, positive thinking, exercise for rehabilitation if you use the search box at the top of the page. I hope they help. You have done well to find this site and post on here. I'm sure you will find companionship, support and friendship on here. Let us know how you're getting on.

I was diagnosed with grade 4 and similarly mine returned 7 months later now on second cycle of chemo but my onc did say it would return again not very positive so I think we should give ourselves positive thoughts (no how difficult that is) good luck lets hope it has gone for many years love nikkix

My wife was/is grade 3c. She had the normal carbo/taxol which didnt get rid of it all. Had only 5 months off before pains came back, ct scan showed more growth.

Had weekly Taxol by itself, but this was stopped after 4 sessions cos CA125 just kept climbing.

Just finished 3rd line treatment gem/carbo....still has some tumour left, but much much less than before.....we know it will come back again, just not when.

When it does happen, then she will go to 4th line chemo and then 5th etc or trials, all the time she can have a life while having chemo then we wont stop.

You just never know one time they may if only by chance, hit on the one that gives her a few years off.....so my advise is to keep on going, not worry too much about what might be....cos we just dont know....good luck

I answer on behalf of my husband and I. It was good to hear your comments on gem/carbo as this is what I have just been told today that I must have as 2nd line chemo - gem/carbo. After 2/3 'all clears' it appears that the cancer has returned. I am devastated. They say if the chemo doesn't work I may only have a year to eighteen months? Can't believe it as I feel fit and healthy and NOT ready to leave this world yet!!
