Hi everyone, going to start on doxorubicin in the next week or two and I’m terrified. I’ve heard quite a few stories about this drug. Has anyone got anything positive to say about it? Been on Niraparib for 3 months and it didn’t work unfortunately. Then tried anastrole for 6 weeks and that didn’t work either. Sending love to all you brave ladies xx

Hi. Is it Caelyx (pegylated doxorubicin)? That’s the form normally given for OC. I thought it was the easiest of the chemos I’ve had. I did have a week of fatigue and mild nausea plus I got mouth sores but I kept them under control by rinsing frequently with warm salt water. You need to use heavy lotion on hands and feet for a week. I had it every four weeks so there was ample time to feel good between treatments and for blood counts to recover.
Hello
I had this treatment every 4 weeks for around 6 months and I’m grateful to say it was very manageable and live carried on as normal in between treatment. It had a positive result for me. 🤞🤞💜for you xx
