Hi lovely ladies I’ve just had a call from my CNS with the results of a CT scan I had earlier in the week.
It showed everything was clear apart from an para aortic node was enlarged. It had been noted on a previous scan in October , but had grown slightly. I think it is about 14mm.
She said she is not quite sure what they will do as it is quite unusual to find just a solitary node.
Has anybody else experienced this.

Yes I had a solitary para aortic LN, but mine was about 2.5cms. A PET scan confirmed it was recurrence of OC plus my CA125 increased to 125 (it's usually around 10) and I was experiencing a strange ovary pain (even though ovaries had been removed). That was in 2018. I had surgery to have it removed (but it was in a very tricky position so had to have specialist surgeon). No further treatment after surgery and touchwood keeping well since. Perhaps your LN is enlarged for other reason. I think only PET scan is the reliable test. Hope all goes well. Love, Ruth
I had an enlarged para aoetic node on Ct and mri at first diagnosis
When they opened me up to remove it they took 6 other lymph nodes all had cancer cells when I was treated but they got all visible cancer in the surgery stand my bloods suggest I’m responding to chemo
Forgot to add that I only learned later (after the surgery), from another oncologist, that I could possibly have had radiotherapy treatment on the LN instead of surgery. Just something to ask if it turns out you do have recurrence.
I also forgot to say I ended up with hernia due to that operation (but that was my 2nd major open cut one) and I had mesh repair done about 2yes ago. Xx
I had an enlarged para aortic node, they couldn’t get it during surgery. It remained enlarged for 2 years and then decreased in size. They’ve no idea why.
Hi Hota, I'm in the states but a fellow survivor Friend of mine had targeted radiation on her para-aortic node which she pushed for node she just had a second PetScan its clear.
