Just to share that I saw Prof Jayson today at Christies. I am very impressed. He is so knowledgeable and thorough and discussed my options with clear rationale in great detail. I feel much more positive after seeing him. Thanks for recommending him and I can’t praise him enough.

xx

So pleased that you feel so much more positive after seeing Prof. Jayson. I saw him in October 2022 and agree he is brilliant and spends time explaining things in detail. Take care and enjoy the festive season.x

Hi there

So glad to know you are happy after seeing Prof J, he is my oncologist and I was so glad to seek a second opinion from him. So knowledgeable and caring, I can’t fault his care and the way he treated me. He will foster positivity and give you hope! I’m now low grade (that rediagnosis was discovered by him) and he is very knowledgeable on low grade.

I hope he helps you on the right treatment path and explores all possibilities for you, and I’m sending you lots of hugs and hope Xxx

Hi Gwen so glad to hear you are 10 years on that’s so reassuring. I was diagnosed 2018 had a recurrence a year ago and surgery in March. Unfortunately had a very quick recurrence and have been on letrozole for 2 months, my CA125 has dropped a lot in that time and now is at 36. I’m finding the letrozole fine and hope it works for a long time! Chemo an option further down the line prof said. Howabout you Gwen? Xx

Hi Lizz49 I've had lots of treatments over the 10 years. I started with Packlitaxel/Carboplatin, later continued with a variety of hormone inhibitors - I responded well to Letrozole - I had a further 2 surgeries in an amongst - one which resulted in a bowel resection and the other because of a growth on my right ureter which meant I had to have bi-laterial ureteral stents fitted and these need changing every six months - I go in hospital as a day patient for the procedure. I have also been on two Clinical Trials which I volunteered for - one of which was oral Paclitaxel and which kept me stable for about 14 months. I am now awaiting a decision as to whether I can have further surgery - I have just had another CT scan and bloods done and see Prof Jayson next Thursday - fingers crossed. I am coming to a point where I have all treatments available so am already looking at what treatments are available abroad - they tend to be quite expensive, some more than others! Gwen x
