I was told at the hospital that my CT scan showed some ascites in my stomach area and that there was a thickening of my peritoneum. I wasn't expected to know my results until Tuesday but the ER doctor sorta convinced me to even if I wanted the news to be delivered by my oncologist so that I can ask the questions that I need to ask. I knew that I was having a recurrence after 6 years but waiting until Tuesday is like torture for me. The ER doctor who has promised someone from gyno oncology would explain things to me said that I was not able to see anyone until 4:00AM and I was there for constipation which she just brushed off.
I just have questions and have no one to turn to right now. Haven't slept all night. I am BRAC2 and I did very well with the carboplaxtin and was in remission for 6 years (3C).
The stuff I see online is very, very scary. If you have any personal experience to share about recurrence on your peritoneum, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, do not look online. I was diagnosed with Stage 2b High Grade last year. Like you, I did look online and terrified myself. Online is often out of date with information.
Thank you for your kind reply. Yes, looking online is terryfing and I should not do it. I did 6 years ago and I am doing it now but I will try to stop as it is serving no purpose at this point. Oh the nights that I tortured myself google things back then. Turns out everyone is different and not everyone fits in the same mole at all. I found so many stories that did not match at all what was considered the norm.
Hi, sorry to read your post. I had a recurrence on my peritoneum after a remission of 4.5 years. I was given carbo and gemcitabine. Unfortunately for me I had a reaction to the carbo but swapped after 3 cycles to cisplatin. I achieved remission. I am OC3b HGS BRAC2. Goodluck x
