Thanks to all of you that replied to my insurance rant! Spoke to MIA in person today and the result is a policy that covers me for medical emergency for £342…the company is Freespirit.

I am relieved but still unhappy that we are subjected to such meaningless questions by the online screening bots. In person is definitely the way to go xx

That's insurance for you. Not just travel or medical, but a friend of mine who had her house wrecked by a burst pipe when she was on holiday is having a huge battle with her insurance, trying to wriggle out of paying. Glad you got something suitable!

Hi Lyndy, so pleased you managed to get travel insurance after speaking to an actual human being. Can I enquire is that price for a annual policy or just one trip? It still seems quite expensive if its single trip policy. The online questions are so insensitive and often too general for a yes/no answer. It's criminal that these companies make so much money from people with cancer ♋️. Enjoy your trip, you deserve it. 💖
