Just a head's up that you can ring Macmillan and get free counselling from BUPA. Just in case you need someone to talk to.

Hello Trickysite.

My understanding is that 6 sessions of counselling are available free of charge (via BUPA) Contact Macmillan initially for more info/referral. Also, I recently discovered that face to face counselling ( 12 sessions?) is available through the cancer advice centre based at my local hospital in Suffolk. Maybe you will have access to something similar?

Macmillan explain that ‘People can access specialist support remotely within days if they qualify to use the service'. If you would like to learn more about counselling, you may find our blog post of interest here: ovacome.org.uk/blog/support...

If there’s anything you would like to talk through with a member of the Ovacome support team, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Whilst we’re not trained counsellors or psychotherapists, we are here to provide information and emotional support relating to ovarian cancer; we offer a safe and confidential space to chat about anything that may be on your mind.

You can message us directly through this forum, email us via support@ovacome.org.uk or call our friendly support line on 0800 008 7054. We're here to support you Monday - Friday, 10am - 5pm.
