Completing your bio on this forum

I know with the journey that we are all on due to our diagnosis it is our decision which friends we talk to about what we are going through but what I find a little surprising is how little (or nothing) people include on their bio on this forum.

There have been times when I will see a really long question/post and then I will click on a person's bio and there is nothing there. Also, sometimes people will assume you know their history but unless it's included on their bio then I probably won't unless they have a very similar sub-type (of ovarian cancer)/diagnosis to mine and post on a regular basis.

I appreciate that even in this online anonymous forum it's a personal choice regarding what a person shares on their bio about themselves but if I knew a little bit more about a person's history/diagnosis I'm sure I'm not the only person who would be able to reply and answer a person's question.

Very good post I agree would be very helpful especially as you mentioned the rarer sub-types we’ve chit-chatted in the past as we share one of them.

I agree with this, there are so many different types and prognoses it would be helpful to understand more about other group members

There are a lot of people here that are partners ,family or close friends of those going through treatment .. I know some of my family are here because it helps them to understand and support. I don’t think they would want to to put specific details or do a bio in that respect.
