Just had phone conversation with new bod, this is the 6th consultant Ive been under. Didnt appear to have read my notes, I had to in form when I had my last scan, when I had my blood test and other details, which surely are in my notes, or were prior to last Consultant. Feeling bit disappointed and not very confident in this one. Results were good though !

New Consultant
It is always difficult when your Consultant changes. When I moved last year I was dreading a new one,but he was fine, since then in the last few months I have another new one. This one is really on the ball, and I can ask him questions and he is very good at giving me a response.
Hopefully as you go forward things will improve. Good news though that things are looking good for you. x
I’m so glad to hear your test results were good, Rosebine. I do understand how you feel about the new doctor. I’m on my third oncologist in almost two years. First one was a very skilled surgeon, but I suffered badly due to inadequate pain relief in hospital after debulking. I switched to a different doctor and hospital. What a difference! I could not have made it through chemo without this second doctor and his nurse. Unfortunately, he retired in November last year. He referred me to a younger, well qualified and kind doctor, who my daughter and I like, even though he has forgotten to submit my chemo orders a couple of times. It’s working out for me and I hope that your new doctor will be better prepared for your next visit.
Best wishes from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Glad to hear yr results were good! If you are not happy with your consultant you can always speak with patient liaison at yr hospital .
That does sound disappointing but maybe they ask us all these questions to gauge what we know/ feel/ want to know etc with the disease and our outlook. Seeing what has happened etc on a report can help but maybe they get more from talking to you about what has and is going on? Or maybe that's just me trying to put a positive twist on a not so great consultation. Hope you continue with the good results . X
Yes we have seen like that before, when I have to ask every month a new oncologist on face to face meetings " Haven't you seen my notes and my scans?" And they answer usually " Oooh no, haven't seen it yet but i will look later ".....why later , it cold be to late ! )))) We putting our lives in their hands ! And they usually only looking at blood results...Same was with my daughter recently at St Hellier hospital specialist. She has her jaw problems for few years and been referred to specialist and considered for operation. And after waiting for 3 month she came in and he hasn't even red her notes or anything about her and her medical history at all. I know they busy especially in NHS Cancer hospitals but still......
So annoying when they haven't read your notes, but good to hear the results are good.
I’m glad that your news was good! My oncologist whom I have seen since diagnosis is retiring next month, so I will be getting a new one as well. I feel a bit uneasy but I’m hoping for the best.
