If at least *one* other person says they know what I'm talking about then I'll know I'm not going cuckoo. I've been on Olaparib for 15 months now and while the nausea and other general yuckiness has subsided, I still often get a head to toe sensation of tingling - it feels like the sound made when you run your finger down across a set of chimes. Anyone else? It's a very tinkly, metallic feeling like I'm made of tinfoil. Hmmm. It was very light and tingly the first several months, now it's deeper, like very long wind chimes. Does anyone else feel metallic like this?

Hi there Flower Rose. I’ve been in olaparib and cedrinib for the past 6 months and have not experienced this whole body tingling. I am starting to feel some ear sensitivity like low mild ringing. Kinda like an old fashioned earaches but not really. Not sure if this helps but bravo for your 15 months! That’s great. Have you mentioned to your oncologist? Hugs Susan
Hi That is rather strange! I have now been taking olaparib for 14 months.I feel very lucky that I've not experienced any side effects. When did the tingling feeling start ? I think it is difficult to know what effects the drugs are doing to your body and whether it could be something else.I hope that your oncologist can shed light on this for you x
I'm not on a PARP but often get tingly feeling - I've told drs and they haven't heard of it before. Its quite nice feeling (although I think it is sinister) - like something tickling through me - but when I saw your word chiming that is a good way of describing it. It will travel up my legs, across my stomach, up myy side or through my head -not through whole body. Happened before cancer and during treatment. Just sometimes, had it the other day in legs .
Thank you for your post. Whilst the sensation you describe is not one of the widely known side effects of Olaparib, that’s not to say it isn’t potentially a more unusual one. Do you have a Clinical Nurse Specialist you may be able to discuss this with? They may be able to gather more information for you from your wider medical team to try and determine the cause of this.
Is the sensation worrying you? Wow, thank you! Wasn't expecting a direct response! No, it doesn't bother me but is just one of the many fun things that's different with your body after all this treatment. Thank you for all the info on how to contact you if I needed to. Much appreciated.
I'm on Olaparib (two moths so far) and often get a shimmery, tingly feeling through my limbs (though not my body). I wouldn't describe it as as wind chimes, but it definitely has a shimmery feeling to it and Olaparib is the only new med I've started that could be causing it. Not sure if that helps at all. Perhaps have a chat with your CNS to see if this is something familiar to them?
