I hope that you are all keeping as well as possible.
This afternoon I had my monthly telephone Consultation, and my CA125 is now 39. So obviously not affected by vaccine as that was way back now. Anyway I do feel very well, and the Oncologist told me to keep taking the Rubraca and not to worry!! Easier said than done, but if it continues to rise a scan will be the next step.

Ill be honest, I’m more worried now. It bounced around 15-19 for a bit then jumped to 27. There’s nothing we can do except take each day as it comes. Glad you’re also feeling well.
I'm in exactly the same position as you since starting Rubraca my Ca has gone up from 14 to 19 now 38 , scan booked for July 14 th. My oncologist said not to worry , easier said than done .Ladies on here have said this can happen on a parp ,but I feel the rug has been pulled from beneath my feet. All we can do is hope, and hopefully enjoy life while we're waiting , wishing you luck and sending love.Cheryl.xx
Hi Cheryl, Yes we seem to be on a similar path. I feel like you in a way, wondering what is next. We are due to move house on the 21st June,so I will have a new Oncologist, who I do have an appointment with on 1st July. I am hoping that I get another blood test then. Totally agree with enjoying life during the interim period. I wish you luck. Love Caleda x ps Do keep in touch.
We spend our lives wondering what's next, but then we just get on with it ,it's the only choice we have. Im in awe of you moving house,I don't even have the energy to clean mine ,thank God for my fairly capable husband, wish you luck with your move and hope your new oncologist is amazing.Cheryl x
Thanks Cheryl,That is really kind of you. You are right we do spend our lives wondering what might be next, but like you I do tend to just try and get on with life. We are down sizing to a place with a small garden, which is sad really as our current garden is so lovely, but far to big now. It will be within walking distance of shops which is also a bonus. I hope that the new Oncologist is ok,as the one I have at the moment is brilliant. Onwards and upwards. Have a good weekend.x
Hi Caleda, I’ve done a bit of research since I last posted and apparently, if it is down to the jabs, it can continue for quite some time. Target Ovarian Cancer have had queries about it and they said that while there’s no definitive research done yet, it does seem to be a factor for some women. Take care. J
Hi JanL,Thank you for that information. I have been taking the parp Rubraca since before last Xmas,& my CA125 has been fine until the vaccinations, when it started to rise. It could be that the Rubraca has stopped working, but no doubt I will find out if it is decided I should have a scan. It is strange really because before my recurrence in 2019 I had a shingles jab, & I just had this feeling that it actually affected me although there is no proof. Take care, Caleda
Hi Caleda, I think that the more we ask the question, the sooner some proper research will be done. I keep telling myself that while I’m not being given bad news, I’m taking that as good news. We’re all just hoping for the best aren’t we, that’s all we can do. I did wonder if having my spleen removed during surgery might have made the marker go up from 27 to 232 as the antibodies get to work. But all I can do is wait and see. Good luck with the move.
I’m sorry to hear that your marker has risen. Hopefully it will go down when tested again . I too was hoping that the vaccine might be affecting CA125. Kindest regards,

When I started on it my oncologist said she would be very surprised if my CA125 ever got below 15 but it did. It’s been hovering between 10 and 12. Last month it had gone up a point but she said not to worry. I am feeling very tired and get some aches and period type pains so I’m having a scan in July.
It is a good thing we do have this Rucaparib club now. There seem to be more people being advised to take it which is great providing it works,by that I mean everyone is different. I felt tired when I was first on the drug, but now I feel fine which is great so long as it stays that way. I am nervous as it is above the recommended magic 35 in the uk,but i was told not to worry, although i must admit i find that difficult sometimes.I hope your scan in July is ok. Take care.x
I had the same thing last year when I took Zejula. Unfortunately my doctor was out for about 6 months and I was with a different dr. at the time. New dr. kept telling me the same thing, just take the Zejula. I was able to get back to my regular dr. and he sent me to CT and I had a new surgery right after.
I am sorry you had to go through further surgery, but hope that you are ok now. This disease keeps you on the edge all the time, if this, if that. I am hoping to get a scan in July. Thanks for your reply.
