I’m seeing many of you are having great success with Parps. Was wondering, what stage you all are? I have the fortune of responding well to chemo and the misfortune of it returning 8 weeks later. I am stage 4B. This happened with first line, Taxol/Carbo and second line, Carbo/Gemzar/Avastin. I stayed on Avastin and same storyline...my docs are thinking of Parps. Has anyone had similar experiences?

Hi there, I am exactly like you and had all the same treatment that younhave had, am also stage 4b and brca positive. I've been on niraparid now for nearly 2 years and am doing and feeling well. Good luck !!
Joanie. That’s great news. I am not BRCA positive but it is encouraging to hear that you’re doing so well after 2 years. Thank you so much for your response and wishing you continued health. Nadie
Hi NadieI was diagnosed High Grade Serous Stage 4, BRACA negative, in July 2016. Since then, I had Carbo/Caelyx chemo (with surgery at half way point), and then, after recurrence, Carbo/Caelyx, which I completed in March 2019.
I started Niraparib in May 2019. My CA125 remains stable at 7, and my CT scans have been clear since then! I do have issues with sleep, but it’s a small price to pay, I think.
I do wish you success with whatever treatment you decide upon x
Flora, that’s so great to hear. Thank you for responding. I am currently on Avastin and I take Cytoxan 50 mg daily (capsule). Waiting it’s only been 6 weeks and Ca125 rose from 80’s (where I settled after last chemo with almost complete reversal on CT scan). Encouraging to k ow Parps are so successful in similar cases. Thank you and stay well. Nadie
Same - Stage 4b, chemo worked, but only for 8 weeks afterwards at which point my CA125 started climbing again: I started Niraparib a little while back and now it's falling. If you are in the UK, NICE has just changed the rules and said all women who are suitable can have Niraparib, so ask about it. Olaparib is generally used for BRACA positive women, Niraparib or Rucaparib for the rest.
I’m stage 3c high grade and BRCA negative , diagnosed in March 2016, one recurrence in 2017. I have been on Niraparib (Zejula) for 31 months with stable CA125. Some side effects but manageable. Good luck.
After my Diagnosis, I had 3 rounds of chemo, debulking surgery and another 3 rounds. I was NED after that. 2 months later, Ca-125 started to rise and I haven’t been NED since. Last chemo (a year later bc I was trialed on Tamoxifen and Anastrozole), CT showed “almost complete reversal”, stable lymph nodes with the exception of 1 Axillary node that doubled in size. My Ca-125 stabilized in the 80’s.
