Hello, everyone
A few months ago we shared some information about a research project being undertaken at the University of Nottingham. Here is the outline about the study from the researchers:
"This study is researching the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women receiving treatment for ovarian cancer in the UK. Several aspects of the pandemic may have made the experience of undergoing treatment for cancer more stressful, including: interruptions to hospital services, fears of infection, and the impact of having to shield at home. We are looking to understand how women have been affected, and how they have been coping. We want to use this information to advise NHS and cancer support organisations about how best to support women during and after their treatment.
We hope to recruit 80 women currently receiving treatment for ovarian cancer to take part in the study, from around the UK."
We've now heard from the researchers that they'll be closing the study to new recruitment at the beginning of February, so if you're interested in taking part please get in touch with them before then.
You can find out more about the study and how to contact the research team if you would be interested in taking part at ovarianpsych.carrd.co/
Best wishes
