Hi ladies.I am on Avastin 5 months.Is ani body have a hearing problem?

Hi. I couldn't prove it, but I am sure that my hearing deteriorated after treatment. Whether it was the Avastin or not I couldn't say.

Yes I developed tinnitus as a result of first line followed by Avastin. It gradually wore off and is now only a problem when I am very tired xx

Hi, after my 2nd Avastin, after a couple of days my hearing was like I was underwater slightly and that there was an echo. After a week, its now back to normal. x.

Yes--I have hearing loss already but I believe it has gotten worse (haven't been able to go to an audiologist during Covid but soon). I also have tinnitus that has probably increased by about 25% on it too.

Hi there. Sorry it took so long to respond. I was wearing hearing aids & had tinnitus too even before I went onto Avastin. I've been on it now for 5.5 years. My onc said that your hearing isn't affected by chemo drugs but I'm not convinced that's 100% correct. However, considering I've been on the drug for so long, if it has affected my hearing, then it's really not much. Best wishes. Pauline.

I also noticed a problem hearing after my second chemo therapy . My oncologist said it could be because of the chemotherapy and plans to do a baseline hearing test. The masks that we all now wear don’t help.
