We do not yet know the type, stage or rate of growth for my mums OC as this was only confirmed today and we have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment to see a specialist.
I read online that those in stage 1&2 often have larger tumours compared to stages 3&4 which have smaller tumours. And now I’m just worrying, as my mum is hopeful that the tumour is small, however is this false hope?
If anyone could share their experience of their size of tumour to the diagnosis stage?
Thank you!

Hi Daisiedo Not heard that before, I was diagnosed staged 3 with my biggest tumour of about 18cm. The stage as I understand it is due to the spread. i.e. I had cancer in both ovaries, fallopian tubes and omentum. x
With OC, spread is the key. Waiting for answers is really, really hard. Once you find out what you're dealing with you'll feel better. As a 4 year HGSE 3C OC patient I have learned to compartmentalize health issues so I can enjoy my life. Best to you.
Hi Daisiedo. I'd never heard that before: that tumour sizes can dictate stages. I'm 3c and my tumour size was described as "bigger than a baby's head".
Be careful what you read online, so much of it is out-dated. Things are moving fast.
But the most worrying thing about your post Daisiedo, is that you're worrying. It's just not allowed, I'm afraid. I can tell you're a good carer for your Mum. She's going to need a level head from you. She doesn't want to be worrying about you worrying. I know you WILL worry, of course you will, but just try not to show it too much - just a bit of good care & concern will do the trick. Best wishes. Pauline.
