A month after my operation to remove my spleen, gallbladder and any visible cancer, I was back at the Royal London Hospital yesterday. The train journey was horrendous as I can only walk up to about 20 steps at a time before getting breathless. My man was wonderful and went and “borrowed” a wheelchair from the hospital, bought it back to Whitechapel station and wheeled me the rest of the way. Surgery was a success and they are really pleased with my recovery. Apparently my breathing problem will improve in time and is nothing to worry about. I shall now embark on another course of chemo, which will start as soon as I have recovered enough. As with the surgery, I’m sure I have forgotten what that was really like. But I am strong and I am determined to kick Cancer out of my wonderful life once again. Here’s to all those brave ladies out there.
