HI everybody,

Can I ask what the purpose of your radiotherapy was?

Hi there - my tumours stick out noticeably (can’t fit into certain clothes etc now), so hoping RT will reduce. N

Hello everyone, I’m clear cell so had it at the end of front line treatment, my surgery was clear but I had cancer cells floating in my pelvic washings which is BAD NEWS so I got it after I had chemo. My CA125 was 12 after chemo and hasn’t changed since so won’t know if it has worked or not unless I recur - my consultant says they see good results with it in Edinburgh but different studies say different things so opinion is divided.

I found it quite straight forward and no bad side effects so far, but who knows long term. It wasn’t focused on a tumour site just general pelvic area.

Good luck with your treatments, here’s hoping they all work xxxxx

I have read good things about radiotherapy for clear cell in USA and Canada but it doesn't seem to be used much in UK. As I have clear cell I am interested and will always wonder if this could have prevented my recurrence which came straight after a very successful surgery. The trial I am on has another arm for the AZD 6738 drug plus palliative radiotherapy but I have not been offered this.

I am puzzled it doesn’t get used more in the uk too, I suspect it is because there is no clear evidence with the conflicting studies but for some reason it is an option in Edinburgh. I was told if I didn’t take it and then it came back, radiotherapy was the treatment they would probably go to next, so they are keen on it. I wondered if my radiotherapy consultant had spent time in Canada perhaps.

I hope your trial is going well xxx

I have had 25 sessions of pelvic radiotherapy for uterine/endometrial clear cell adenocarcinoma. I'm almost 2years post treatment and so far I'm NED! Fingers crossed it stays this way. Hope this gives you courage.
