What a wonderful afternoon, and how nice to have something to take your mind off things. You are lucky to have such great colleagues looking out for you.
Aww. A friend of mine had that combination for second line. She said the same. Tired and achey. She did well on it though. It worked well. Make sure you rest. Xxxxx
since carbo/caelyx once monthly, not as bad as dose dense weekly first line, but knocks me out just the same. Also causes serious burning in entire digestive tract. Doc says it's working! CA 125 not climbing/stable and he expects it to plunge after 3-4 infusion. Be well yourself, dear girl!
I used to work at a school before my special person was diagnosed, been there about a month and baby number 4 started cooking they were absolutely fantastic 💕💕 told them when I was about 12 weeks when I went on maternity leave they done me a big basket of baby stuff. I also turned 30 whilst working there and had another big load of presents even when I left that job I got loads of stuff I was only a dinner lady! Then started working at McDonald’s as they offered me same hours and more money well I’m still there nearly 2 years later. But I’ll always be grateful for the school and how supportive they are I still meet up with them and go out for drinks even now xxx
Looking lovely Suzanne! Now, I’m fond of a bit of gin, but have been celebrating my friend’s 68th birthday today with a quantity of champagne 🥂! Well, you’re only young once!!
Thumbs up, Suzanne.. looks like you had a great time. And best of luck on the recurrence front. It's not right that the disease tends to smother so much of our life...don't let it grab too much. In fact, more afternoon teas might be just the right thing :).
Aww thank you Maus. Yes bloody horrible disease. I’m hoping it’s not a recurrence so soon but I’ve a feeling it is. I think you’re right, more afternoon teas (with prosecco ) are definitely needed.
Oh Suzanne---what a lovely group! And you look great. It's the best when you have friends like this and to work with such a group is double the pleasure. Thank you for sharing. May they continue to keep your mind off of your worries. oxox
How lovely for you Suzanne, friends are what keep us going and making sure we don’t let this damned disease take over our lives. Keep the prosecco flowing!
I’m ok, struggling a bit as my leg problem is still there and though a clot has been ruled out, the likelihood is it’s lymphodoema which is a blow. Off to see a specialist nurse tmw to see if massage will help. Nearly finished 4th cycle of taxol/Gem then I get another week off for good behaviour (?!) Xxx
What a lovely treat, your colleagues sound very supportive. Doing these nice little things makes such a difference. Really hope you haven’t had a recurrence. Are you waiting for results? Jo xx
So lovely how friends help you through difficult times and take your mind off things.my group of 5 friends organized a day out in London as two of us had moved from kent.Keeping fingers crossed for you.Take care.xx
Great pic Suzanne and looking rather stunning in your wig. Without friends I don’t honestly know where I’d be, if anywhere at all. So glad you enjoyed this. Take care and I’m sure many have said this but a recurrence is doable. I have found things not as bad as I feared, even though things have been really rough at times I have got through, very much with the help and support of my friends.
Thank you. Yes it’s brilliant to have great friends.
I’ve had one recurrence and I know I’ll manage another. I’d just feel disappointed that it happened so quickly it’d be nice to have a year with no treatment.
At the moment I’ve got raging toothache and this is so painful that it’s bothering me more than the thought of cancer . I guess it’s taking my mind off the C word.
That reminds me of a Polish joke where a man is asked why he keeps hitting his head with a hammer and says “to take my mind off the toothache”. I know, still.....
Suzanne glad to hear you had a wonderful day with your colleagues, it’s good to have your mind somewhere else other than recurrence, I feel the last 3 months waiting on results has been the worse.
