Hello,

We would be delighted if you could join us for a special afternoon tea to celebrate the long career and now retirement of our support line nurse Ruth Payne. Ruth has been a major contributor to Ovacome and was one of the founding members back in 1996. She has been a vital source of expertise, information and emotional support for 100s of women for the past 20 years and is well known throughout the ovarian cancer community. So please come and help us celebrate her important achievements, warmth and wisdom.

The tea is on Saturday 23 July at 1.30pm at Tindlemanor House, 52-54 Featherstone Street EC1Y 8RT (which is where the Ovacome offices are located). The closet tube station is Old Street, only 5 mins, please use exit 3 for Moorgate and take the first right.

Friends and family are all welcome and we look forward to seeing you there! Please RSVP for afternoon tea by replying to this email or call 0800 0087054.

Date: Saturday 23rd July 2016

Location: Ovacome, 52 – 54 Featherstone Street, London EC1Y 8RT

Time: Afternoon tea at 1.30pm.

We appreciate that many of you will not be able to travel into London and may still want to send well wishes; we are collecting messages on behalf of members to present to Ruth on the day. Please send your messages to s.vig@ovacome.org.uk or post to Ovacome.

All members of Ovacome should have received an email invitation to the afternoon tea, if you have not received an email from us, you may not be registered as a member of the charity. If you would like to join or double check if you are signed up please contact the team on 0800 0087054 or email ovacome@ovacome.org.uk

Best wishes,

The Ovacome Team.

Aww and I can't come as I've now moved out of the UK. Hope you ladies have a good time. Ruth has been a real anchor when the diagnosis and treatment hit me and I was trying to recover from both. The Young Women's support group meetings at Maggies West London were always a safe haven for me.

Ruth is kind and knowledgeable and I wish her the very best. Thank you Ruth.
