Hi Caryl, I haven't encountered this so far, it might be a good idea for you to contact your team or gp or ring the Ovacome helpline

Not below the ear, but I have an enlarged supraclavicular node which was spread of OC - it is just above the collar bone, and I recently had radiotherapy (successfully) to shrink it.

Hi Carly, is your face swollen at all? I had similar lump under my ear and ended up in A &E who diagnosed a blocked salivary gland. It was always worse when eating but remedied by drinking loads of water

Hope this helps! Love Jackie O

Thanks Jackie, no swelling just this hard round lump between ear and jaw. My jaw aches a bit. It seems to me that it is a hard lymph node but can’t find anyone anywhere who’s had OC spread there, neck spread seems to be to the supraclavical node. Maybe i’ll Be the first!! Nothing surprises me xx

Caryl,

I got a firm, painless, peanut size enlarged prearicular lymph node in December last year. I did not have any signs of infection on my scalp. I thought it was it, the beginning of the recurrence. The lymph node gradually decreased in size over a few weeks. My CA 125 was stable in February. I did not mention it to my oncologist.

I hope you don't have a spread of OC. I did my research and found that it is very uncommon for OC to spread to lymph nodes next to ears. Maybe you have a problem with your parotid gland?

Thanks, I also couldn’t find anything about it spreading to ear area. I think you might be right about parotid gland - have been looking for any info about it spreading there but no joy!

Thanks Debonair1. Can I ask if it was a recurrence or on diagnosis & did you have it anywhere else? Thanks

Thanks, sorry to keep asking questions but you are the only person on all the sites I could find who has had this. Was it in the gap between ear and jaw & how big was it? I’ve got this round hard lump about 2cm next to the muscle. I can’t find any other lumps in my neck or above my collarbone. Is this what happened to you?

Mine was in neck and seemed to surround the lower part of my ear, at first they thought it may have been a reaction to the flu jab, but the said it was in lymph node. X
