I’ve just joined this group to hear the stories of and to give/get support for low grade primary peritoneal cancer. It is very difficult to get information about this type. I have been ready some of your stories and have benefitted already by your knowledge strength and courage! Thanks so much!

Hi Everyone!

Hi. I have PPC. I have recurred and was being treated with carbo/caelyx. Unfortunately it's because I have mixed high and low grade cells. I do not know next plan. First line I had an excellent response to carbo /taxi and was NED for 9 months. I hope someone with low grade can advise you.
Thanks Gleedy. They are actually watching me for a mix of high and low as well. My genetic testing has revealed that I have mutated P53 gene which is associated with high grade. They ran genetics twice to make sure. For now, they are proceeding as low grade and using letrozole as maintenance. I have my 9 month visit in February. Feeling well except that my abdomin seems thicker at breastplate and bras are very annoying, especially after dinner. Not sure if this would be related to anything.
So sorry you recurred. How did they discover you have both low and high grade?
