Can you just have the carboplatin?
Last time taxol.
there are other combinations....don't panic....easy to say I know xxxxx
Don't panic. Sit down, relax and breathe deeply. Focus on what the nurse said. There are plenty of alternative chemo options. One of them will work for you.
When do you go back to try again? xxxx
They may try gemcitibine
I doubt it
I know it's so hard. I'm just home from my 5th chemo today 1st line and had a reaction to the carboplatin.π‘.I was having carbo with gemcetabine and avastin. I started at the beginning with carbo and Paclitaxel but had reaction to Paclitaxel 2nd round that's when we changed to gemcetabine. It's upsetting as you just want to get it done but hey so long as there's something else in the pipeline then I'll just keep rolling on.πͺπΏ. Shona (Bonnie Scotland) xx
Hi Zena,
Glad the carbo is working and I hope they will soon find the right combination for you so you can just crack on with it and get all of this behind you. Don't know much about chemo but the ladies on here seem to try various options when they have a reaction. Thinking of you.

Horrible for you! Hope they sort something out soon. I too had the dreaded Taxol allergic reaction but have been reassured by everyone that they had many options up their sleeves. Good luck, hope they sort something for you soon.
Hi Hun yep happened again caelyx this time π€·ββοΈ That's what they keep telling me too.
Nurse just phoned she said scan next to see if they can op. And they don't want risk my life or scare me again so prob keep me on carbo only ??? Kinda feel cheated. X
I know the feeling. Good luck, I'll be thinking of you as they try the next plan. Hope you manage a good weekend despite 'it'. x
I'm seeing the oncologist tomorrow, so will hopefully find out then. This morning strands of hair started coming out as I combed it. All part of the adventure, I suppose. x
