Ladies, I don't mean to be so gross but I am at a loss and my dr doesn't seem to be concerned. have any of you experienced this. I can not seem to find anything online that really answers what it could be.

Do you think it looks like coffee grounds Rppizio?. x

Badger4218, thank you but no, unfortunately, it really does look like cooked ground up meat/tissue. It has a rubbery texture to it.

If it is still clear it should be OK but if dark green/brown you should see a doctor ASAP. I've been told that my excess, craggy, mucous is a side effect of Avastin and take Carbosisteine to help thin it. Anything that does not feel right is always worth taking back to the medics for reassurance.

Hope you get it sorted.

Thank you and since it doesn't feel right that why after the dr saw the pictures she didn't seem concerned, truly puzzled me.

Get this looked at immediately by a doctor who actually CARES. This could be very serious! My husband had that and it was a sign of congestive heart damage. He was immediately hospitalized for emergency triple bypass plus mitral valve repair. It can also be a sign of esophageal cancer. I'm absolutely shocked that your GP is not taking this more seriously.

Dear rrpizio

I just wanted to reiterate what the other members have said - please see a doctor about this. If you can collect a sample to show them or if not take a photo on your phone this may help them diagnose sooner the cause of this symptom for you.

I hope you have an answer soon.

Best wishes

Thank you OvacomeSupport Administrator, I did submit 3 pictures along with dates so that she could see the progression/texture etc over the past month. I am greatly comforted by these affirmations that it not me just being overly concerned.

Thank you Cropcrop, I will pursue this further next week. Currently, we are dealing with recovery from Hurricane Harvey that hit our community head on in Rockport Texas. Hoping to be back in our trailer in the next week or so. My energy level is such that I can tackle one hurdle at a time right now?

Oh bless you, I hope any damage isn't too severe, we have a friend in Tampa, he was very luck to escape unharmed, his garbage bin blew over that's all ❤️

Yes watching Irma on TV I so felt for what I knew they were fixing to have hit them... We have 13 family members that live in florida,so for me, I think watching that was harder than watching harvey. Everyone suffered some kind of wind or water damage, but they are safe, 3 of which are law enforcement.

Hi Rppizio, my mum suffered with a chest complaint for many years & it was up to me to check what she coughed up. She had a little card with pictures & other than clear pheghm all the other pictures told you to either go to the GP or A&E. If my mum's pheghm was green then straight up to GP. That ment a chest infection & she needed antibiotic. I am not a GP but if that was my mum with what you have I would of gone straight to the hospital. It's always best to be on the safe side.

As good as our GPS can be they can also make mistakes as well. Please keep us up dated. Take care Cindyxx

Thank you Cindy, I guess I just don't know how to use google because I have been trying to find pictures or something that I could use to identify what is going on and have drawn a blank. I will see if my GP has anything like that. Sounds like a have a good plan of what I need to do to not get this dismissed.

Hi Rppixo, it was many years ago but I am sure this kind of picture card thing must still be out there.

I also clearly recall pictures of different kinds of poo in the office at my old rest home I worked at. It was to help you to know what was wrong with the patients.

I will look it up & see if I can find it. I am not very good on Google but if I do find the pictures I will post it.

My mum suffered with Bronchiectasis nothing to do with her oc. She was given a card to help her know what was happening to her chest condition. I had to bang my mum's back so she could bring up her pheghm. It was very upsetting she was in a right state over her chest. My mum didn't smoke she was very fit other than this & of course she did end up with oc but much later on.

Yes, don't let it carry on without knowing what it might be. Keep us up dated. Take care Cindyxx
