Has anyone had hormone injections after two rounds of chemo?
Hormone injections: Has anyone had hormone... - My Ovacome
Hormone injections
I tried Zoladex injections. I'd had Carboplatin followed by weekly Taxol. Then I had hormone tablets for 15 months. When they were no longer working, my onc suggested the injections. I understand they work well for some people, but unfortunately didn't work for me - don't know if they would have worked better if I'd had them before having tablets. But I think hormone tablets are given for oc more often than injections. If you are having injections, I hope they work for you. Di
Thanks Di, they are my only option now so I have to try.

Hi Annnora,
I don't know anything abt. hormone injections but I wish you the best of luck with them.

I hope they work for you. I had most of my injections at my GP surgery, I was told it wasn't necessary for me to travel to the oncology clinic every time. My GP spoke highly of them. Di
Hi Di, thanks again. I only found out today that I could have them also at my GP which surprised me . I was expecting to go to oncology. They tell me also it's only once monthly. Is this normal too and what are the side effects? Appreciate your opinion.
Annnora

Mine were monthly too. I had the first one at oncology the day it was prescribed, & the rest at my GP. I don't remember having any problems with it. Di
