Hi zeena, I have ppc stage four, I was diagnosed in 2015and yes I had the debulking operation after my third lot of chemo. If you look at my profile you will see what treatment I have had. Feeling fine at the moment, having another ct scan on the 12th of this month. 😕xx

I had high grade serous ppc 4 years ago and didn't have surgery - just chemo . I'm still in remission . I had a hysterectomy and ovaries removed 18 months before for a different type of cancer - a gct . Good luck and make you get BRCA tested x

What chemo are you having Zena . I had icon8 trial chemo weekly plus avastin for 15 doses ( about a year ) - was amazed and delighted that it put me into remission x

Hi Zena I have high grade ppc. Diagnosed jan 2015 & had debulking surgery safter 3 rounds of chemo. Where surgery is possible that seems to be the standard care. Wishing you well with decisions you are making about your treatment - are you unsure about whether to have surgery? X

My dr said they will only go in if the nodules have shrank and they can remove all cancer.

I was diagnosed with PPC in June of this year. It's stage 3 at the moment adenocarcinoma. I don't know if it's high grade. My plan was for 3 chemos debulking surgery followed br 3 more. I've had a bowel perforation after chemo 2 which required em surgery. The plan was revised and a 4th chemo put in before ct scan. My scan is this week so I'm waiting to see if the surgery will go ahead. Hope you get the best treatment for you x x x

Yes, they think mine is PPC stage 4, albeit says it could also be Fallopian tube Cancer. Apparently it's difficult to tell exactly. Had chemo, surgery, chemo, then Avastin, but found out Friday I have s recurrence. Also had gene testing & discovered I have the BRCA1 gene in my tumour so now plan is to switch to Olaparib, a PARP inhibitor. Def get tested! I had Avastin but prob should have had the PARP sooner!! Good luck xxx

Hi Zena, what exactly is ppc? I see lots of ladies mentioning different types of tumours and things but I don't know what they're talking about. I obviously haven't been asking my people the right questions. I feel a bit of a dim wit sometimes. Zena J xxx

It's what lines the abdomen. It has the same origin as the cells on the surface of the ovaries so treated the same

Zena all I know is primary peritoneal cancer. It's in the omentum my case the fatty tissues. Like tiny nodules x

Thanks Zena, So I had cancer there but only because it spread from the ovaries. This was removed during surgery. Zena xx

Yes it can progress from the ovaries. I have nothing there according to my dr. Just in belly. It's a strange one x

Hi Zenaida - I was diagnosed with PPC in January 2013. I have had 3 different lines of chemo and debulking surgery with periods of remission in between. I have been to the hospital today and it is active again, so I am now going for a trial. There are lots of treatments out there but don't ever be afraid of getting a second opinion if you are unsure.

I am still Ieading an active life and don't intend to be going anytime soon. You have to fight for what you want and stay positive.

Hi Zeena I was dx with high grade serous ppc stage 3c, after debulking the surgeon said he thinks it may have started in the Fallopian tube and spread to the peritoneum but not 100% sure.
