I'm a breast cancer survivor from 7 years ago but was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized breast cancer on my 65th birthday which was June 28. I have it throughout my bones from one end to the other. I also have several compromised lymph nodes in my left shoulder. And finally, a small spot on the exterior of my lung. I'm reading the posts from others and I find that they seem to understand every detail in their treatment. I feel that my oncologist treats me like a child whom you don't bother going into too much detail because you probably wouldn't understand it anyway. I've been put on Letrozole and it's a wait and see game as expected. My concern is that the lymph nodes and the small area on my lung should have been surgically removed before it has a chance to spread further. I understand no one is a doctor here but I would like input from others in similar situations

Hello, do you mean you have breast cancer which has metastasised to other areas of your body? In which case, as this is a forum for ovarian cancer, you would get better advice / help from a breast cancer site, as the treatment and consequent advice, is quite different depending upon the original cancer.
If you click on My Communities, you can then Browse Communities within the Health Unlocked groups. All the best!
Thank you for using My Ovacome, I'm sorry you received a diagnosis of recurrence on your birthday.
As January-2016 has explained, this is a forum for women with ovarian cancer, so if your diagnosis is primary breast cancer which has metastasised, you may find breast cancer sites are more helpful in the information they provide.
SHARE Breast Cancer Support is a charity which has a forum on HealthUnlocked at the following link: healthunlocked.com/share-br...
I'm guessing you are in the US but you may find the site for the UK charity Breast Cancer Care helpful, they have a large forum which includes a specific section on living with secondary (metastasised) breast cancer at the following link: forum.breastcancercare.org.uk/
I hope this is helpful and that your treatment with Letrozole goes well.
