CA125 reading 108

Please can anyone advise. Had blood tests got sent for urgent appointment. And now for an urgent scan 😢 I'm besides myself here

lizalily, I kind of feel like I'm in the same boat. Had bloodwork done today, & I have been having a lot of abdominal discomfort, today especially troublesome. I won't know my number until tomorrow, but I need a CT scan within the next week. The physician's assistant felt a small, moveable "something" in there, so now I'm waiting to see what is found out. Waiting is hard, isn't it? Keep us updated...

Waiting is awful I don't know what to think I got all sorts going through my head . I feel like I've got a constant urine infection . Constantly needing to wee and low down pain Wen weeing . Let me know how u get on ok . X

Had my scan today, don't have any results (of course) yet, & nobody has called about my CA125 number (they will if they think it's elevated to much), but my upper left quadrant is bothering me a lot. I see the oncologist on Monday, the 21st. In the meantime, I need to be with my Alzheimer's/cancer patient husband tomorrow for some surgery & maybe have to spend the night, which is usually not a good experience. My oldest son, who is single, spent a week in the Cleveland Clinic, quite ill, but he's home now. Guess who his main chauffeur & dressing changer is......it's Mom! Sheesh....

Awh u poor thing that sounds so hard . I'm awaiting my scan and really dreading it 😢

Please don't worry until you get the results. I had a lot of pain in the ovary area! Weeing every ten minutes etc. CA125 was 276! Urgent referral and urgent CT scan and ultrasound scan. Turned out I had very large fibroids. I had a total hysterectomy within three months of starting the urgent referral just in case. I asked for the hysterectomy and thankfully when they sent everything to be checked it was all clear. I hope all goes well for you, but please try not to worry. Not every high CA125 reveals nasties.

Thanks for the kind words I'm so scared here I'm waiting for scan date to come through . I don't really get pain but weeing a lot u also have endo and have had simple cysts in the past . I was also on my period on the day of the test would that make it high ?

I have Polycystic ovary syndrome but the dull pain in my ovary was new. Weeing was a major issue, constantly needing to go. I have not got endometriosis though. Yes being on your period when you did the test could make it high.

Going through a cancer diagnosis you are going to go through a whole range of emotions including fear, anger, bargaining and denial.

Wanting to pee more often can be one of the symptoms or it could just be a simple urine infection but your CA125 is elevated above normal so its right that your GP should refer you for these tests.

I think a lot of people have already told you that a CA125 test can be raised for lots of reasons but at this point in time no one can test you why yours is raised without the results of a scan. I believe you have an appointment for next week? This is good the waiting for appointments is the worst.

lizalilly, got my results today....not good My cancer has returned, in the form of a baseball size mass in the abdominal area. Not connected to any organs, bones look good, just this mass laying around in there! Start another chemo round Aug. 31st. I'm just a little numb right now, I guess.

Hear this Hun . I'm ok the high reading was because of having endo and got 2 endo cysts on my ovaries awaiting to see doc now and will most prob be referred to a gynaecologist. But I tell u something I ain't having no of as endo comes back it's not curable x
