Hi, I was diagnosed last March with stage 3 ovarian and treatment ended in November.
Recently I have been convincing myself that it's back, I am having trouble emptying my bowels around the lower part of my tummy button is quite firm and my appetite has dropped. What should be my next step?
Thank you

Hi dappiedebbie and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis and that you feel you might have a reoccurrence. That must be very worrying. I'd strongly suggest that if you are concerned, you go back to your oncology team or CNS with your concerns. Only they will be able to put your mind at ease one way or another by hopefully running some tests. I hope it isn't a reoccurrence but best of luck. Jemima xx
I agree with Jemima - speak to your CNS and see if you can be seen sooner. When's your next routine review with your oncologist/gynaecologist scheduled for - is it worth bringing it forward? I'm sure that they will be able to help you.
Suggest you ask for your review appointment to be brought forward. The symptoms you've been having may be unrelated but best to get it checked out.
I agree with all the ladies either see your gp or ask for a review to be on the safe side. If it is a recurrence, there will be a plan to deal with it but I hope it wont come to that.
I too agree with the other ladies. Do go and get checked out. If it's just scar tissue then it's a massive relief. It sounds like it could be.
If it's not then they sooner you get more treatment the better.
I had my last chemo in Jan 2015. My hysterectomy etc in June 2014 was for Stage 3 OC.
By Dec 2015 I thought I had a recurrence. I could feel a lump in my abdomen. My GP said scar tissue but turned out to be a recurrence. Had more chemo and lump removed in July 2016.
Treatment goes on but so glad I did not ignore it.
I hope you do not have a recurrence. But best not to ignore your gut feeling. We know our own bodies but can get carried away with unnecessary worry sometime. I hope all turns out well for you
The firmness might be related to your bowels. Have you tried some Dulcolax. See if the firmness has diminished after going but if it hasn't do contact your CNS. Ann xx
