I've spoken to my CNS nurse this morning and she has said that from the first surgery 4 weeks ago that I have grade 1c high grade cells .. but until I've had my forthcoming surgery this could change . This is absolutely blowing my mind and feels like I'm going around in circles !!!!

Hi Coxar. Was she referring to the grading of the Cancer or the cells, did she elaborate? Sending you a big hug xx Kathy xxx

Hi. I agree with what Clare has said, she was probably referring to the cancer grade but only IF they find it elsewhere and as Clare says we are all here for you xx

I imagine that the grade of your cells will stay the same however she was probably letting you know that the stage of your cancer may change IF they find it anywhere else. I'm a high grade cell too with clear cell. We are all here for you whatever happens, do you have a date yet for your next surgery? I take it they are going to remove lymph nodes? Or did they leave some of your ovaries, tubes etc ? Is that why you're having a second surgery?

Questions questions!!

I'm sure you'll have lots so remember to write them down and go through your list one by one also writing the answers down. There's a lot for you to take in and process.

Take care

Clare xx

The first surgery they took just my left overie and falloppian tube .. my 2nd operation 30/11 they will take right overie falloppian tube womb omentum and lymph nodes . I'm slowly getting to grips with the staging / grading . This has happened over a space of 6 weeks but I'm not complaining because my whole team have been fantastic from the start . I think it hit home today and because I'm 4 weeks post op so starting to feel more myself I've got lots of questions . I'm going to see my CNS nurse next week with a list of questions . It's nice to know other people are out there and supportive x regards Sarah

Sarah - sounds like you're getting your head around all those questions. I found jotting them down whenever one popped into my head really useful...even though it meant i sat down in front of my Onc with what seemed like an essay! :) Hoping your meeting answers all your questions and really, best of luck with your upcoming surgery. The fact you have been through one already, i'm sure you know what to expect and how best to look after yourself in your recovery. Glad you've got a good team around you. Sending you a jolly big ((hug)). Jemima xx

Oh yes I took two A4 sheets of questions and points I'd researched and wanted confirming., my Oncologist knew what type of person I am from the off!!!! I researched my stage, grade, options etc etc and wanted answers 😀

It is such a lot to take in. You are trying to get over this operation and having to face another. I found this bit the most scary once you have had the next op you will know where you stand. I was 1c too and stayed the same as it wasn't any where else Wishing you lots of luck and we are all here for you xxxx

It seems pretty standard practice to have the two operations. I was 1c and had both ops. I don't imagine they expect it to change, but the nurse doesn't want to rule out them finding something unexpected. Try not to worry too much. It's not round in circles, it's moving forward with purpose! xx
