Very interesting. I am off to see one of my sons in the USA on 3rd October & asked my onco if I shd see a specialist there re immunotherapy. Though I am extremely well (please God it may last) I thought it worthwhile to add another weapon to the arsenal!!!

He says that immunotherapy has been around since the 90's for other cancers but it has not been approved for ovarian yet in USA or U.K. & is still on trial. Some countries though will give it to us, but it wd be off-grid.

Also, anyone with auto immune diseases will not be eligible he does not think as it cd be v dangerous. He mentioned, for instance, rheumatoid arthritis, but he is not sure re my hypothyroidism.

I find him v knowledgeable & helpful & I know he wd help me as much as poss & in any way he can.

The future of OC research does look bright -hang on in there long enough girls!!!!
